Nathaniel's Analysis Portal (NAP) - VT SuperDARN
These pages provide tools and information about analysis of space science data. The tools here are a web front-end to the IDL analysis code I use to do space science research. New tools and features will be added as I need them for my research, or as people request them. These tools are designed to handle SuperDARN data and data from other sources as needed. If you have any questions, comments, or requests, please use my conact information found on the VT SuperDARN Student Page.
Research Tools
- Time Series Plotting and Analysis: This page allows for plotting, processing, and cross-correlation of time-series data. Some THEMIS data can be automatically loaded for an arbitrary date. Other data, including SuperDARN, needs to be loaded manually onto the server. I use this tool primarily for the study of ULF waves.
- Hodogram Plotter: This page allows for the plotting of hodograms for basic polarization analysis.
- Polarization Analysis Tool: This page provides a web interface to the THEMIS twavepol.pro routine. The twavpol.pro routine allows for polarization analysis of a wave with 3 components. Like my other pages, this one also incorpates the ability to utilize any of my data loading modules.
- Data Source Location Tool: This page gives provides a simple way of obtaining the geographic, AACGM, and MLT coordinates for a radar measurement or THEMIS magnetometer location.
